Imagine a small group of dedicated individuals and families gathering to celebrate their faith and count their blessings. Now imagine that same group taking a faithful risk to bless their community with a brand-new house of worship. This was the reality in the mid-1880s right here in Bowling Green, when Trinity United Methodist Church first began as Trinity United Brethren.

Starting with just 15 founding members, the congregation blossomed. By 1911, they had outgrown their initial 1880 brick building, expanding to over 450 members. Driven by the belief that God’s vision is always worth investing in, they built our current historic sanctuary, completing it in 1914.
Today, Trinity continues to grow by looking forward—envisioning God’s hope both within our congregation and far beyond our doors. The true beauty of Trinity UMC isn’t just found in our historic architecture or rich heritage; it lives in the faithful hearts of our members who worship, serve, and embrace the very same calling placed on the hearts of those founders generations ago. The Arts Community Center offers our neighbors a sacred place to discover deeper spirituality, cultivate creativity, and learn new skills.
